Schools / Auditoriums

Studies have been conducted in lecture rooms, dedicated to defining the relationship between student performance and the room's acoustics.  The general conclusion was as expected.  Though the size range varied from the smallest of classrooms to an expansive auditorium, areas that  were too reverberant, created  distortion that resulted in the listeners inability to understand the speaker.  The very objective of the class was lost in the acoustic "clutter" of reverberation.

The level of absorption is also an important factor, as the sound must travel to the end of the space, in order to be heard, while controlling reverb time.  We invite you to watch the video below, that demonstrates the before and after effect in  a typical classroom.
